Video: How ERTICO is Making Mobility Smarter, Safer and Cleaner in Europe

ERTICO works to achieve its vision and fulfill its mission by being a thought leader and engaging the relevant stakeholders to advance the smart mobility agenda.

They promote and facilitate the rollout of Intelligent Transport systems and services in Europe through a variety of European co-funded projects, Innovation Platforms, international cooperation, advocacy and events.

We caught up with ERTICO at CES 2020 to find out how they are making mobility smarter, safer, and cleaner in Europe.

About Jacob Bangsgaard

Jacob Bangsgaard is the CEO of ERTICO as of January 2017. His expertise lies within strategy, management, advocacy, economics, Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), mobility as a service and road safety.

On the back of a 26-year experience working in Brussels on transport and mobility issues, Jacob has previously worked at ERTICO for 5 years as Director of International Affairs and Communications and was Director General of the FIA Region, as well as Director of International Relations at the FIA Foundation.

Jacob has also represented mobility interests for a regional authority, and worked for two years in the European Commission Transport Directorate. He is also President of the MaaS Alliance and was on the Board of Euro NCAP from 2010-2016 and Secretary General of the Belgian association eSafetyAware from 2009-2016. He holds a degree in Economics from Aalborg University, Denmark.
