Goldman Sachs has selected Stuart McClure to be honored as one of the 100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs of 2017 at its Builders + Innovators Summit in Santa Barbara, California. McClure leads Cylance as its Chairman and CEO, setting the strategic vision and direction of the company. Under his leadership, Cylance has been recognized as a disruptor in the cybersecurity industry through the development of AI-driven solutions that predict and prevent execution of advanced threats and malware on network endpoints.

McClure is one of the leading experts and practical thinkers in the computer security industry today. Prior to Cylance, he was EVP, Global CTO and General Manager of the Security Management Business Unit for McAfee/Intel, where he was responsible for a $3 billion consumer and corporate security products business.

“I’m so pleased to accept this honor, and to share it with my co-founder Ryan Permeh, fellow Cylance executives, and all the innovators at the company, particularly our data science team,” McClure said. “As a company, we share the mission to protect every computer, user and thing under the sun with AI, because we have seen that it’s our best hope for real solutions to the intense level of cyber threats faced around the world. We look forward to many more years of innovation, as we’ve only just begun.”

"We are pleased to recognize Stuart McClure as one of the most intriguing entrepreneurs of 2017," said David M. Solomon, President and Co-Chief Operating Officer at Goldman Sachs. "This is the sixth year that we’ve hosted the Builders + Innovators Summit where emerging business leaders gather to discuss their common interests in building prosperous organizations."

For more than 145 years, Goldman Sachs has been advising and financing entrepreneurs as they launch and grow their businesses. In addition to honoring 100 entrepreneurs, the Summit consists of general sessions and clinics led by Goldman Sachs experts, seasoned entrepreneurs, academics and business leaders as well as resident scholars.
