Cylance Did Its First Reddit AMA - No Serious Injuries Reported

NEWS / 02.03.17 / The Cylance Team

On Friday, 27th January, Cylance waded into previously uncharted waters… Reddit.

After years of seeing positive and negative comments… accurate and inaccurate descriptions… just straight up disinformation and FUD… we decided the time was right to jump into that pool and begin to set the record straight with one of our heavy hitters, Cylance’s Chief Research Officer, Jon Miller.

We hosted a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) with the notion of addressing the questions people have about Cylance with regards to the product, artificial intelligence and the company in general.

The announcement was met with a few of the various Stages of Reddit:

And of course…

Oh… and:

Because… Reddit.

When we arrived on the day of the event, we had a stellar cast of characters assembled to support Jon and provide as many truthful and technically accurate answers as we could, as quickly as possible. The team stretched across the executive suite, engineering, product management, technical support and customer experience.

This event, as any good AMA should be, is strictly about providing direct lines of communication to those who are interested, and wow, did we have some interest. The questions were lining up as early as four days before the event.

Folks were chiming in about all kinds of topics:

The list goes on… but why not jump out there and check it out yourself. The AMA is over, but we are monitoring it and posting answers as new questions continue to come in.

We will definitely be back for another AMA. After seeing what happened this time around, we have Cylance folks lining up volunteering to be part of the next one.

The best part is… we want to hear more from you. Who do you want to talk to from Cylance?

The Founders?
Data Scientists?
Pen-Testers?
Engineering?

Some fascinating folks are wearing Cylance green, taking the battle to the bad guys. We want to keep this conversation going. Let us know who you’d like to hear from and we’ll make it happen.

In the meantime, you can always find us at @cylanceinc and on www.cylance.com.

Stick around… there’s a lot more coolness to come.
