We’re delighted to announce that SE Labs has bestowed its prestigious Best Innovator Award on BlackBerry Cylance in its Annual Report 2019. According to SE Labs, the award winners are selected based on, “a combination of continual public testing, private assessments and feedback from our own testing teams and corporate clients who use SE Labs to help choose security products and services.”
“This past November, we recognized BlackBerry Cylance employees for Exceptional Achievements in Innovation[1],” said Cylance Co-Founder and Chief Executive Stuart McClure. “The SE Labs award is a testament to their tireless efforts to advance the field of artificial intelligence and deliver prevention-first, predictive security products that change how organizations approach endpoint security.”[2]
Since the company’s founding in 2012, BlackBerry Cylance employees have been awarded more than 20 patents and have over 80 applications in process for inventions in the fields of AI, cybersecurity, computer forensics, and privacy-enhancing technologies.[3]
This is the third time this year that BlackBerry Cylance has won industry acclaim. In February, the company was recognized as a leader in five distinct categories at the 2019 Cybersecurity Excellence Awards[4] an annual competition honoring individuals and companies that demonstrate excellence, innovation and leadership in information security.[5] These included Best Cybersecurity Company, Most Innovative Cybersecurity Company, Endpoint Detection and Response, Endpoint Security, and Best Cybersecurity Podcast.
A month earlier, in January, BlackBerry Cylance was inducted into the SC Media Industry Innovators Hall of Fame. That honor recognized the company’s endpoint protection (EPP) and endpoint detect and respond (EDR) solution as among the best of the best in data protection innovation.[6]
BlackBerry Cylance has also won best-in-class awards and recognition from more than two dozen globally-renowned brands, including Forbes, CNBC, Goldman Sachs, Deloitte, and the World Economic Forum.[7]
