Alan Krassowski is the Chief Architect at Cylance, leading the Architecture Team within the Office of the CTO. He previously held senior leadership roles at McAfee/Intel and Symantec, where he spent a combined twelve years of his career. While he began coding in 1978 on an Apple II, his full-time involvement in software development started in 1991 after graduating from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a degree in Computer Engineering.
Alan has co-authored a security course for software engineers with Purdue University and has been a Technical Editor/ Technical Reviewer on four security-related books, including The Security Development Lifecycle and 24 Deadly Sins of Software Security. He is based in Portland, Oregon, and frequently visits Cylance offices in Irvine, CA and Austin, TX.
